Born in 1925, in Algeria, Norbert Beyrard joined the Resistance (Combat) and the Free French Forces , and served with 3rd regiment of the SAS Brigade .He was dropped in France and again in Holland . After being wounded and captured, near Assen, he was sent to hospital in Oldenburg in the North of Germany and then transferred to the Sandbostel Camp, from which he escaped to join the allied forces in Holland.

In 1948-49 he serves as military adviser to Tsahal

He get married to Claude MEDIONI, who then was a student in Philosophy and became later a teacher of Sociology at the Sorbonne Two children Nicolette, now a computer expert , Jean Pascal a banker.

Coming back to civilian life , in 1950, he studied at the SORBONNE UNIVERSITY and graduated in Maths & Physics and some years later in economy. He successively graduated as: Bachelor of Science

Third cycle certificate in Mathematical Methods in Physics (equivalent to Master) & Doctor In Economic Science on the subject of production economics; (the president of his jury is Professor TINBERGEN Nobel Price in Economy). He became Docteur d'Etat on the subject "the epidimiology of technology"

From1951 to 1954 : Applied Physics in the field of automatisms leading to industrial development in Europe and South America

From 1956 to 1987 Creation and development of a consulting company active in two fields, technology and economic development his main subjects are ::

In the field of science and technology

° Development of a new process on Isotopic Separation. this work has been the subject of a communication at the "Academie des Sciences" by Professor Francis Perrin the High Commissioner for Atomic Energy .

° Development of a new process for catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons leading to the construction of new plants in Europe

° Development of new software for a time sharing company, subsidiary of Beyrard- Rivaud created with Banque Rivaud a private bank in Paris

In the field of economics

° Macroeconomic studies for Ivory Coast, Morocco, Niger, Cameroon, Mali, Benin, Israel, UNDP, As an adviser to the President of the Republic of Ivory Coast Norbert Beyrard took a very active part in the process of development of the country..

° In France his company was specially active in the process of economic development of provinces like Languedoc Roussillon and the Mulhouse area in Alsace.

° A decisive contribution, to the study of industrial development, was brought through SAFIR a data base on the cost of production factors and a set of economic models concerning different industries ( 300 )

From 1988 to 2008 Norbert Beyrard sold his different activities and returned to research

° In the field of Economy this led to the publication of a book sponsored by UNITAR concerning Economic Planning under Uncertainty, and to a number of reports for UN

° In the field of applied mathematic and physic: the high definition medical scanner, and other applications.
